As I’ve been talking with folks across Arlington Heights, someone recently asked me a question that stopped me in my tracks: What’s your greatest fear for our village’s future?

My answer came instantly. My greatest fear is seeing Arlington Park’s 326 acres—prime, beautiful land—sit undeveloped, with no plan, no purpose, just a missed opportunity.

As your candidate for mayor, I won’t let that happen. Whether the Bears come or not, I’ll lead proactively to reimagine this space—together with you. Here’s my plan:

  • A Clear Vision: Instead of waiting to reject ideas that don’t fit expectations, I’ll work with you to define what we do want and need. I’ll form community committees to gather your input so we can champion projects that match our shared goals.

  • Developers at the Table: I’ll actively recruit developers who share our vision and will build projects we’ll embrace—not battle—drawing on my experience to hold them accountable for delivering results.

  • Collaboration First: Thanks to my work with the Chamber and local nonprofits, I’ve built strong ties with Rolling Meadows, Palatine, and Salt Creek Park District. I’ll unite our communities and experts to turn ideas into smart actions that respect our residents and neighbors.

  • Your Voice Drives It: I’m listening. I’ll create opportunities for you to voice your thoughts as we shape this space—ensuring it benefits the whole village, not just one group or area.

  • A Thriving Future: Whatever we build, I’ll work to ensure it creates positive economic impact, enhances our quality of life and doesn’t burden taxpayers.

This isn’t just about a plot of land, it’s about our future. As your mayor, I’ll lead this collaboration of voices—yours included—to shape a bold future for Arlington Park. It’s time to be proactive about what’s next

So, tell me: What do you want for Arlington Park? Drop your thoughts in the comments below or reach out directly. Let’s make it happen—together.

Tomorrow: My take on the Bears moving to Arlington Heights—stay tuned!

I would sit down with the members who originally wanted to purchase the racetrack, who I know personally are still possibly willing to purchase the the property and bring horse Reising back to the community
